How to use tags as a filter in your automations?

Aside from having tags to trigger certain automations, you can also use tags to filter in automations. This works the same as any other filtering options in automations:

  1. In an automation, click the Plus icon to add a new step.

  2. In the pop-up that opens, click on Filter to set the criteria for your automation from that point onwards.

  3. Now set the filter up as you wish:
    • Object: select the object for this filter. In this case it's Account.
    • Field: this is the place to filter on the tag. These fields belong to the object chosen above.
    • Operator: choose if the filter needs to include one of the tags, not one of the tags or if the operator doesn't need to be set.
    • Value: find the overview of your tags and select one or more.
  4. If needed, use the And/or options to further define your filter. Ready? Click on Confirm.

  5. The filter based on a tag is now included in the automation.
